Seasonal Print / Fabrication Specialist - Oceanside, NY

Print Structures is seeking a Print / Fabrication Specialist. This job entails working with team members to complete print and fabrication projects from start to finish. We are looking for an entry level, motivated and enthusiastic candidate, that wants to learn and is excited about a hands on position in a growing company.

 

Begin by learning about the many print and finishing techniques, materials, and equipment we use in our shop. Discover the limitations of using those materials and tools-- and then how we make the impossible possible to go beyond those limitations Develop your interests & get specialized. Wiring, soldering, welding, sewing, painting, sculpting... We’re always learning new things & teaching each other new tricks.

 

Qualities of an ideal candidate:

​

Good communication and problem solving skills. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or think ahead!Strong work ethic, attention to detail and spatial reasoning are a plus Translation: Figure it out, get it right, and get it done. No experience necessary, but some shop and fabrication experience would be useful… the Palm Sander is about to become your best friend. Some basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD, etc. would be helpful. Understanding how a piece was conceived on the screen before it gets printed and cut will make it a much more intuitive process when you assemble.

Vinyl Application (Wall Murals, Contour Cut Vinyl, Vinyl Wrapping)
Plastic Fabrication (Sintra, Acrylic, PETG, and Styrene)
Wood Fabrication (Structural build outs, Trade Show Booths, Pedestals, Custom Furniture)
Foam Displays (Custom Window Displays, Props)
Packaging and Logistics (Building custom crates, corrugated boxes, helping with loading and unloading)


Job Type: Seasonal

Salary: $12 - $15/hr depending on skill set. Potential opportunity to transition to  full time employment

Sales Representative // NYC

Print Structures is seeking a full time sales representative. In this role you will source and develop new business leads through face-to-face meetings, social media, and cold calling.

​

About Us:

​

  • We offer three main services: Large format printing, custom fabrication, and traditional digital printing (marketing materials, high speed copying, legal printing). We have a 13,000sf facility.

  • In our large format and fabrication department, we produce anything from adhesive vinyl wallpapers to custom displays for retailers, trade shows, and events. We have roll fed printers, a flatbed printer, two CNC routers, weeding stations, a dedicated fabrication area, and print area. We also offer graphic installations.

  • Our Digital Print department offers traditional services like brochures, business cards, menus, flyers, presentations and so forth. We also have extensive experience in legal support services (high speed black and white copying, custom tabs, blowbacks, scanning, and binding options).


Candidate Requirements:

​

  • 1-2 years of proven sales records.

  • Highly motivated with a professional demeanor.

  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.

  • Must have some knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Google Docs.

  • Great communication skills with co-workers and customers (verbal and written).

  • Must be aggressive in a tasteful manner!


Duties and Responsibilities:

​

  • Responsible for selling in New York City, Brooklyn and Queens.

  • Establish new business opportunities with potential customers.

  • Maintain current account relationships and work to build long terms relationships.


Salary & Benefits: This is a Commission-Only position with a competitive commission structure.
